Why we made it
Like you, we were constantly frustrated trying to accurately park our cars in a relatively small garage space. Inaccurate parking caused damage to our vehicles when cars were parked too close to other vehicles or walls. Car damage spoils the enjoyment of coming home after a long day, so we looked for a simple parking aid. All we found was overly complicated, goofy or obnoxious products. The Parking Perfector is decorative, easy to install, fully adjustable, and improves car placement in both the forward-reverse and side-to-side axes.
The competition
We tested several other parking aids, but none of them worked. Tire chalks are hard to see as you enter the garage, and only work in the forward-reverse direction. Plus, they’re easy to trip over. Hanging tennis balls are not aesthetic, get in the way when your car isn’t parked in the garage and are difficult to install. Especially for garages with high ceilings, Laser pointers can be expensive, require battery changes and don’t guide you as you enter the garage. Meanwhile, other line-of-sight guides only work in the forward-reverse axis. The Parking Perfector begins to work as soon as you can see into your garage, allowing you to align the car as you approach the final parking spot, thereby improving the accuracy and precision of car placement. The Parking Perfector is easy to install on your wall with two small nails or adhesive strips. We use cling film for the foreground graphic so that its position can be adjusted without moving the rest of the device. This improves accuracy when installing the device and provides more flexibility on where the device can be mounted on the wall.
